Wynn Al Marjan Island Achieves Topping Out Milestone, On Track for Spring 2027 Opening
Wynn Resorts and Marjan have reached a major construction milestone as Wynn Al Marjan Island tops out at 283 metres in Ras Al Khaimah. The 70-storey tower is on track to reach 352 metres following spire installation in 2026, ahead of a planned Spring 2027 opening.
Wynn Resorts, in partnership with master developer Marjan, has achieved a major construction milestone at Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, with the landmark development officially reaching topping out. The 70-storey tower has now risen to 283 metres, marking the completion of its highest structural concrete point just 27 months after foundation works began.
With spire installation scheduled for 2026, the tower is expected to reach its full architectural height of 352 metres, positioning it as the tallest structure in the Northern Emirates and a defining feature of Ras Al Khaimah’s evolving skyline. The resort remains on track for its planned Spring 2027 opening.
Interior Fit-Outs Progress Across Guest Accommodations
Career Background
All 1,530 guest accommodations have achieved full structural completion, with interior fit-outs currently underway across 1,504 rooms and suites. The tower’s reinforced concrete frame is now fully complete, while façade installation continues steadily, with 79 percent of panels already installed. Meanwhile, the surrounding low-rise resort buildings have reached 99 percent structural completion, allowing the project to transition fully into the interior build-out phase.
This phase covers guest rooms, suites, enclave accommodations, food and beverage venues, and key public and entertainment spaces throughout the resort.
Integrated Resort Development Across 60+ Hectares
Upon completion, Wynn Al Marjan Island will debut as the region’s first fully integrated resort, spanning more than 60 hectares. The resort will feature 1,217 resort rooms, 297 Enclave suites, two Royal Apartments, four Garden Townhomes, and 10 Marina Estates.
Key Achievements
Planned lifestyle and leisure offerings include 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a luxury spa and beauty destination, a beach club, and a skylit retail parterre. Additional amenities will include Coral Court for events and celebrations, The Showroom theatre, 12 swimming pools, a 420-metre white-sand beachfront, and a deep-water marina designed to accommodate superyachts.
Milestone Ceremony at the Summit
To commemorate the topping out achievement, senior leadership from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design & Development, and Marjan gathered at the summit of the tower, overlooking panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. The ceremony marked the completion of the tower’s structural framework, with attendees receiving commemorative steel pieces from the building and participating in the pouring of the final concrete.
Leadership Reflections on the Achievement
Max Tappeiner, President, Wynn Al Marjan Island, described the milestone as a defining moment for the project, noting that the tower’s completion underscores the scale, speed, and technical expertise behind the development while reshaping the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah.
