Wyndham Grand Opens a Landmark Lakeside Luxury Resort in Udaipur

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has introduced a major addition to its India portfolio with the launch of Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake, a sweeping 26-acre retreat set near the tranquil waters of Fatehsagar Lake. Surrounded by the Aravalli mountain range, the new resort brings Wyndham’s premium brand to one of India’s most admired cultural and wedding destinations.

A Grand Welcome Rooted in Rajasthani Tradition

The property opened its doors with an elaborate celebration attended by hotel partners, industry leaders, and local dignitaries. Guests were welcomed in classic Rajasthani fashion—petal showers, ceremonial tika and pag, and vibrant folk performances. Traditional dancers, regional instruments, and open-air culinary stations added a festive rhythm to the evening, reflecting the region’s deep artistic heritage.

Design Inspired by Udaipur’s Royal Legacy

The resort features 140 guestrooms and suites, each shaped by the architectural language of Udaipur. While the interiors incorporate marble accents, carved details, and warm textures, the amenities include modern comforts such as whirlpool bathtubs in select suites. A dedicated Palace Wing with an additional 60 rooms is under development, expanding the resort’s capacity for both leisure and wedding travellers.

Dining is entirely vegetarian, with the hotel’s restaurants—Pyaala, Shakahari, and O Sian—focusing on regional produce and a blend of Indian and international cuisines.
