Trance Hotels has strengthened its footprint in Pune with the acquisition and rebranding of two established hospitality properties, marking a key step in its expansion strategy within one of India’s prominent business and leisure markets.

Strategic Acquisition in a Key Urban Market

Effective April 1, 2026, Trance Hotels has taken over two well-located properties in Pune under a lease management model. Previously operating as The Oakwood Hotel and Sunderban Hotel, the assets have now been rebranded as Trance Oakwood Hotel, Pune and Trance Sunderban Hotel, Pune.

This move reinforces the brand’s growing presence in Pune, a city known for its strong corporate base and steady leisure demand.

Focus on Refurbishment and Guest Experience

As part of the transition, Trance Hotels has outlined a series of refurbishment and upgrade initiatives for both properties. The planned enhancements will focus on modernising infrastructure, improving service delivery, and aligning operations with the brand’s standards.

The aim is to reposition the hotels with a refreshed identity while delivering a more contemporary and consistent guest experience.

Operational Integration Underway

Both hotels are currently being managed by experienced General Managers, working closely with the Trance Hotels team to streamline operations and implement transformation plans. The phased integration is expected to ensure operational stability while upgrades are executed.
