The Leela Palace New Delhi has unveiled Turya , an exclusive private-label wine created in partnership with Grover Zampa Vineyards — marking a pioneering moment for the Indian hospitality and wine industries. With this launch, the well-known becomes the first in the country to introduce its own premium wine label , reaffirming its dedication to curating homegrown luxury experiences for global travellers.

A Milestone for Indian Wine Craftsmanship

Turya draws inspiration from the Sanskrit word meaning transcendence, symbolising the harmony between nature’s purity and human artistry. Produced in Nashik’s distinguished Dindori terroir and aged in French and American oak barrels, the wines reflect The Leela’s philosophy of celebrating Indian creativity and craftsmanship.

General Manager Preeti Makhija emphasises that Turya is more than a new addition to the hotel’s beverage collection — it is an expression of Indian pride and refined hospitality. It aligns with the hotel’s commitment to authenticity, sustainability, and the evolving palate of discerning guests.

The Collection — Three Distinct Expressions

The debut portfolio features three curated labels, each offering its own narrative of Indian soil, climate, and patience:

  • Chardonnay–Viognier Blend
    Crisp floral and citrus notes balanced with subtle oak, showcasing elegance and freshness.

  • Turya C Reserve Tempranillo (2015)
    Aged vintage with dark berry, fig, and earthy characteristics that evoke tradition and depth.

  • Turya Private Barrique Reserva Shiraz
    Rich dark fruits and warm spice nuances crafted for an indulgent palate.

Together, they represent finesse rooted firmly in India’s flourishing viticulture.
