Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel has unveiled a striking redesign of its Lobby and R Bar, presenting an evolved expression of Bengaluru’s racecourse legacy blended with Karnataka’s artistic heritage and contemporary Renaissance luxury. The revitalised spaces now form a seamless arrival-to-social experience grounded in narrative-driven design.

A Lobby That Captures Movement, Craft and Modern Sophistication

The refreshed lobby takes inspiration from equestrian energy and the dramatic pace of the racetrack. Dynamic stripes, layered forms and subtle metallic accents evoke the motion of jockey jerseys and riding equipment. Deep blue tones from the Renaissance brand palette underscore a sense of refined modernity.

Karnataka’s craft culture has been thoughtfully woven into the interiors. A standout rug-style installation draws from Navalgund’s celebrated handwoven rugs, adding artisanal warmth to the entrance zone. Across the space, soft textured leathers and polished metal details reference the finesse of jockey gear, while the reception and navigator’s table feature buckle-like motifs that hint at equestrian craftsmanship.

The lobby’s local connection deepens through vibrant elements inspired by Channapatna lacquerware. Bold sculptural legs on the communal table and colourful accessories reflect the craft’s playful aesthetics and ensure a distinctly regional presence in a contemporary environment.

Anchoring the lobby is an origami-influenced lighting installation suspended above the entrance. Its flowing lines and sculptural form mirror riding reins, creating a visual focal point that ties the narrative together.
