Novotel Goa Candolim and Novotel Goa Resort & Spa have announced the appointment of Amit Sangwan as Cluster General Manager, entrusting him with leadership responsibility across both properties. The appointment brings a seasoned hospitality professional with more than two decades of experience into a key strategic role within Novotel’s Goa operations.

As Cluster General Manager, Amit Sangwan will oversee the overall strategic direction, operational delivery, commercial performance, and brand standards for both hotels. His mandate also includes strengthening guest experience, people leadership, and driving growth across leisure travel, MICE, and food and beverage segments in one of India’s most competitive resort markets.

The role is aimed at ensuring operational consistency while unlocking synergies between the two properties as demand for destination-led hospitality in Goa continues to evolve.

Amit Sangwan brings over 20 years of hospitality experience spanning luxury, upper-upscale, and business hotel segments. He is widely recognised for strong operational discipline, guest-centric leadership, and the ability to manage large, complex hotel operations while maintaining brand and service benchmarks.

Recent role and career background

Prior to his appointment in Goa, Sangwan served as General Manager at Novotel Ahmedabad from May 2023. During this tenure, he led measurable improvements in commercial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction indicators.

Across his career, he has held senior leadership roles with established hotel brands, managing multi-outlet food and beverage portfolios, pre-opening projects, and destination-led resort environments—experience that aligns closely with the operational demands of Goa’s hospitality landscape.
