Thomas Cook (India) Limited has expanded its experiential hospitality footprint with the launch of Nature Trails Ashoka Resort in Hampi. The opening marks the sixth property under the Nature Trails brand, reinforcing the company’s focus on slow, experience-led domestic travel.
A Heritage-Inspired Setting Amid Iconic Landscapes
Set against Hampi’s distinctive boulder-strewn terrain—once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire—the resort is positioned to offer immersive stays rooted in history and nature. The location provides convenient access to UNESCO World Heritage monuments, ancient temples, Anjanadri Hill and nearby rural communities, aligning with the brand’s emphasis on meaningful, locally connected travel experiences.
Accommodation Designed for Diverse Travellers
Nature Trails Ashoka Resort features a mix of Superior Rooms, Classic Rooms, eco-conscious Bamboo Cottage Rooms and dormitory-style accommodation for group travellers. Landscaped open spaces and nature-inspired layouts aim to create a relaxed, unhurried environment.
A key highlight is its signature hillside swimming pool, offering panoramic views of Hampi’s dramatic rocky hills and greenery.
Dining and Curated Experiences
The property houses Archana, an open-air multi-cuisine restaurant serving Indian and international fare, alongside Grills by the Pool, a casual venue for barbeque selections and beverages.
Guests can participate in curated heritage tours, village visits, nature walks and seasonal trails designed to deepen engagement with the destination’s cultural and ecological landscape.
Event Infrastructure and Guest Facilities
The resort includes indoor event spaces, open-air lawns and scenic poolside venues suitable for meetings, celebrations and intimate weddings. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi access, parking, 24-hour front desk services, room service and doctor-on-call assistance.
Strengthening the Nature Trails Expansion Strategy
Commenting on the launch, Mahesh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, highlighted the growing demand for culturally rich, experience-driven domestic travel. He noted that the Hampi addition follows the brand’s recent expansion in Rishikesh, with further growth planned in the near term.
With its sixth property now operational, Nature Trails continues to build a portfolio centred on immersive stays in India’s heritage and nature destinations.
