Strategic Alliance Expands Global Hotel Access for Indian Travellers
Minor Hotels has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with MakeMyTrip to strengthen its engagement with India’s fast-growing outbound travel segment. The collaboration will significantly expand the availability of Minor Hotels’ international portfolio on MakeMyTrip’s platform, enhancing access to premium and luxury stays across global destinations.
Expanding a Global Hospitality Portfolio on MakeMyTrip
Minor Hotels operates a portfolio of over 560 properties worldwide, spanning Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. As part of the partnership, 60 Minor Hotels properties are currently live on MakeMyTrip, with a phased expansion planned across additional international destinations.
The listings include a mix of city hotels and resort properties under globally recognised brands such as Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, NH Collection Hotels & Resorts, and Avani Hotels & Resorts, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
Focus on Indian Traveller Preferences
A key feature of the collaboration is the expansion of MakeMyTrip’s ‘Loved by Indians’ marker across Minor Hotels’ international portfolio. At present, 12 Minor Hotels properties carry this designation, highlighting hotels that align closely with Indian traveller expectations, including preferred dining options, convenient locations, and enhanced comfort.
The partnership aims to progressively align more international properties with these preferences as demand from India continues to rise.
Market Context and Leadership Commentary
MakeMyTrip’s international hotel business has seen strong momentum, with over 77,900 unique hotels sold across 4,350+ cities in 192 countries in the past year. The platform reported 17 percent growth in unique hotel bookings in 2025, with nearly one-third of bookings in the premium segment, averaging room-night rates above ₹15,000.
