Lemon Tree Hotels signs 49-key hotel in Barog, marking its 10th property in Himachal Pradesh

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has expanded its presence in Himachal Pradesh with the signing of a new hotel in Barog, reinforcing its strategy of strengthening operations in emerging leisure destinations across North India.

Strengthening presence in Himachal Pradesh

With this signing, Lemon Tree Hotels will mark its 10th property in Himachal Pradesh. The company currently operates four hotels in the state, while six additional properties are in various stages of development, including the newly announced Barog project.

The upcoming hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited that oversees management operations across the group’s portfolio.

This expansion reflects the brand’s continued focus on high-potential leisure and hill destinations, particularly those within convenient driving distance from major North Indian cities.

Barog emerging as a leisure getaway

Located along the historic Kalka–Shimla route, Barog is known for its scenic surroundings, colonial-era charm, and tranquil mountain landscape. The town has increasingly gained popularity among travellers seeking short leisure escapes and experiential stays away from crowded hill stations.
