Lemon Tree Hotels Announces New Tirupati Property Under Suites Brand

Lemon Tree Hotels has expanded its presence in Andhra Pradesh's pilgrimage sector by signing a management agreement for a new hotel in Tirupati, marking another addition to the company's spiritual tourism portfolio.

Management Structure

Carnation Hotels Private Limited, functioning as the operational arm within the Lemon Tree Hotels group structure, will manage the day-to-day operations of this property. The hotel will carry the Lemon Tree Suites brand identity once all licensing formalities are completed between the subsidiary and parent entities.

Property Features

The planned Tirupati establishment will offer 228 accommodation units across various categories. Guest amenities have been designed to serve both religious tourists and business travelers, featuring:

  • On-site dining establishment
  • Event spaces for gatherings and corporate functions
  • Aquatic recreation area
  • Wellness and relaxation facilities

Location Advantages

Travelers will find the hotel conveniently positioned relative to key transit points—roughly 10 kilometers from the city's airport and approximately 6.3 kilometers from the main railway terminal. Multiple ground transportation options provide access to the property.

Tirupati draws substantial visitor numbers year-round due to the famous Sri Venkateswara Temple, creating consistent demand for quality accommodation. The town's position in Andhra Pradesh's Eastern Ghats region combines devotional significance with scenic hill country surroundings.

Executive Perspective

Vilas Pawar, who heads the Managed and Franchise operations for Lemon Tree Hotels, emphasized the company's strategic direction: "We're building our capabilities in India's faith-based tourism markets by establishing presence in destinations where spiritual travel creates strong hospitality fundamentals. Andhra Pradesh offers compelling growth opportunities through its tourism ecosystem, traditional attractions, and infrastructure development."

State-Level Expansion

This Tirupati signing brings Lemon Tree's Andhra Pradesh count to nine properties total. The state portfolio currently includes six operating hotels, with the Tirupati project joining two other properties in various stages of development. This clustering strategy allows the brand to capture different market segments across the state.

The company continues pursuing expansion through its dual approach of direct operations and franchise arrangements, targeting markets where religious tourism, business travel, or regional connectivity support sustainable occupancy levels throughout annual cycles.
