Indian Hotels Company Limited signs first SeleQtions resort in Devanahalli, Bengaluru

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new SeleQtions-branded resort in Devanahalli, North Bengaluru, marking the brand’s debut in the city. The upcoming property, to be known as SeleQtions Prakruthi Resort, is a conversion of an existing standalone resort and will initially feature 115 rooms, with plans to expand the inventory to 120 keys.

Career Background

The signing aligns with IHCL’s strategy to deepen its presence in high-growth micro-markets. Devanahalli has emerged as a key hospitality corridor due to the expansion of Kempegowda International Airport and the rapid growth of aerospace, biotechnology, defence, and education hubs in North Bengaluru.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, noted that Bengaluru’s strong IT and entrepreneurial ecosystem continues to drive demand for quality lodging and event infrastructure. She added that the new SeleQtions resort will strengthen IHCL’s brand portfolio in one of India’s most dynamic urban markets.

The resort will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a bar, and a lounge. Wellness and leisure amenities will include a spa, gym, and swimming pool. The property will also feature over 6,000 sq ft of banqueting and meeting space, catering to weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events.

The project is being developed in partnership with BABA Developers Private Limited, with both partners aiming to create a distinctive leisure-led hospitality offering in Devanahalli.

With this signing, IHCL’s Bengaluru portfolio will reach 20 hotels, including 11 properties under development, reinforcing the city’s importance in the company’s national expansion plans.
