IHCL Expands Wildlife Portfolio with New Taj Safaris Lodge in Satpura

Introduction

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has strengthened its footprint in India’s eco-tourism segment with the signing of a new Taj Safaris lodge in Satpura, Madhya Pradesh. This greenfield project marks IHCL’s fifth Taj Safaris property in the state, reinforcing its focus on immersive wildlife experiences.

Strategic Expansion in Eco-Tourism

The addition of the Satpura lodge highlights IHCL’s continued investment in India’s growing wildlife tourism sector. With existing Taj Safaris lodges in Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, and Panna, the new development further consolidates its presence in one of the country’s richest biodiversity regions.

Project Details and Location

The upcoming Taj Safaris lodge will feature 20 keys and is spread across 30 acres of natural landscape. Located approximately two hours from Bhopal Airport, the property will offer an all-day dining restaurant and a bar, designed to complement the surrounding wilderness.

Immersive Wildlife Experience

Set amid dense forests and undulating terrain, the Satpura region is known for frequent wildlife sightings. Guests will have access to guided safaris led by trained naturalists, offering interpretive experiences across the park’s diverse ecosystem.

Partnership and Development Vision

The project is being developed in partnership with Sarvapratham Hospitality Private Limited. Both partners aim to create a hospitality offering that reflects the ecological richness and unique character of the region.
