The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Ginger-branded hotel in Tuticorin (Thoothukudi), Tamil Nadu, marking its entry into the port city with a greenfield project. The signing strengthens Ginger Hotels’ footprint in Tamil Nadu and reflects IHCL’s continued focus on expanding in high-potential industrial and commercial markets.

The proposed 100-key Ginger Tuticorin will be strategically located along the Tirunelveli–Tuticorin highway, offering convenient access to the city’s major industrial zones and commercial centres. Planned facilities include Ginger’s Qmin restaurant, a bar, meeting spaces for business travellers, and a fitness centre, catering to the needs of modern business and long-stay guests.
