Hilton and Olive Hospitality Sign First 10 Spark by Hilton Hotels in India

Hilton has partnered with Olive Hospitality to announce the signing of the first 10 Spark by Hilton hotels in India, marking a key milestone in the brand’s entry into the country’s mid-market segment. The move builds on a broader 2024 agreement to develop 150 Spark by Hilton hotels nationwide, reinforcing Hilton’s long-term growth strategy in India.

Expansion Across Emerging and Established Markets

The upcoming hotels are planned across a mix of business and leisure destinations, including Bengaluru, Goa, Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot, and Hyderabad. This geographic spread highlights Hilton’s focus on tapping demand beyond major metros, targeting emerging cities supported by improved infrastructure, rising mobility, and expanding commercial activity.

Strengthening the Mid-Market Segment

The introduction of Spark by Hilton reflects a strategic push into India’s midscale hospitality space, where demand for reliable, branded accommodation at accessible price points continues to grow. The brand is positioned to attract domestic travellers seeking consistency, efficiency, and value-driven stays.

Brand Experience and Guest Offering

Hotels under the Spark by Hilton brand will emphasise functional design and dependable service. Public spaces will include flexible seating arrangements designed for work and social interaction, while guests will have access to complimentary breakfast options featuring local flavours. A 24-hour retail area will also cater to on-the-go travellers, ensuring convenience throughout their stay.

Leadership Insights on Growth Strategy

Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton, noted that the signings reflect confidence in India’s underpenetrated mid-market segment and aim to expand Hilton’s owner and guest ecosystem across both metro and non-metro locations.

Andrew Ling, Regional Head, Focused Service and All-Suites Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton, added that the brand is designed to deliver consistent quality and comfort, while adapting to local preferences as it scales in India.

Partner Perspective and Development Approach

From the ownership side, Kahraman Yigit, Co-founder and CEO of Olive Hospitality, highlighted the importance of scalable and efficient development models in India’s diverse market landscape. He emphasised that the partnership is structured to enable faster conversions and deliver long-term value for hotel owners while maintaining consistent guest experiences.

Pipeline Growth and Market Outlook

The latest signings further strengthen Hilton’s expansion pipeline in India’s midscale segment. The collaboration with Olive Hospitality complements earlier agreements with other partners to grow brands such as Hampton by Hilton, collectively positioning the company to surpass 400 operating hotels in India in the coming years.
