EkoStay Expands Premium Villa Portfolio Across India’s Key Leisure Destinations
EkoStay has expanded its premium villa portfolio with new properties across Maharashtra’s leisure destinations including Panchgani, Igatpuri, Dahanu and Alibaug. The company is also set to launch additional villas in Palghar, Kodaikanal and Goa, while preparing three Luxe category villas in Ooty. The expansion reflects rising demand for private vacation rentals and experience-led travel across India’s growing alternative accommodation sector.
Vacation home brand EkoStay has announced a significant expansion of its villa portfolio across several high-demand leisure destinations in India. The move strengthens the company’s presence in the country’s growing alternative accommodation and private villa rental segment, responding to increasing demand for spacious, experience-led holiday stays.
Strengthening presence across Maharashtra
Over the past two months, EkoStay has added eight new villas across Maharashtra, reinforcing its presence in some of the state’s most popular getaway corridors.
The newly onboarded properties include:
-
Three villas in Panchgani
-
One villa in Igatpuri
-
One villa in Dahanu
-
Three villas in Alibaug
These destinations remain key weekend travel markets, particularly for travellers from Mumbai and Pune seeking private group stays.
Expansion into new leisure destinations
Building on this momentum, the company plans to launch five additional villas this month across emerging and established leisure destinations.
The upcoming openings include:
-
One villa in Palghar
-
Two villas in Kodaikanal
-
Two villas in Goa
This expansion marks EkoStay’s strategic move into both coastal tourism markets and premium hill-station destinations, diversifying its portfolio beyond Maharashtra.
Luxe villas set to launch in Ooty
As part of its premium segment growth, the company has also secured three Luxe category villas in Ooty. These properties feature 4 BHK, 5 BHK and 6 BHK configurations and are currently undergoing final operational preparations before going live next month.
The Luxe category is designed to cater to travellers seeking larger group accommodations with enhanced privacy, design and curated hospitality experiences.
Rising demand for private villa stays
According to Varun Arora, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of EkoStay, the company’s expansion reflects a broader shift in Indian travel behaviour.
Travellers are increasingly choosing private vacation homes that offer space, flexibility and personalised experiences, particularly for group travel, extended holidays and remote work stays.
Partnership-led growth model
Founded in 2018 by Husain Khatumdi, Sohail Mirchandani, Varun Arora and Zishan Khan, EkoStay currently operates over 150 villas across 12 cities in India.
The company follows a partnership-led model with homeowners, allowing property owners to monetise second homes through professionally managed vacation rentals while ensuring consistent guest experiences.
Focus on quality-driven expansion
EkoStay’s leadership emphasises that the company’s acquisition strategy prioritises quality inventory and curated destinations rather than rapid scale.
Each property undergoes a structured onboarding process to ensure operational standardisation, service consistency and alignment with the brand’s hospitality experience.
With the latest additions and upcoming launches, EkoStay continues to strengthen its position within India’s rapidly growing villa rental and experiential leisure travel segment.
