DS Group has announced a major expansion of Radisson Blu Guwahati, introducing the Northeast’s largest pillar-less convention centre and adding 85 new rooms to create a 280-key integrated event destination. The new 25,000 sq. ft. convention facility, featuring a 15,000 sq. ft.
The Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has announced a transformative expansion of its Radisson Blu Guwahati property, setting a new benchmark for large-format hospitality in the Northeast. The development adds significant capacity for events, accommodation, and regional tourism, positioning Guwahati as a stronger hub for business and social gatherings.
At the centre of the upgrade is a new 25,000 sq. ft. convention complex, designed with a 15,000 sq. ft. pillar-less hall, now the largest of its kind in the Northeast. With the ability to host up to 1,500 guests, the venue is tailored for conferences, exhibitions, and wedding celebrations that require spacious infrastructure and seamless arrangements. Alongside the convention centre, the hotel will introduce 85 additional rooms, increasing the total inventory to 280 keys by the end of 2026. This enables the property to comfortably support multi-day, large-scale events under one roof.

Despite the region’s potential, there has long been a gap in facilities capable of handling sizeable conferences and MICE activity. The new facilities are expected to attract:
-
Domestic and international conferences

By combining accommodation and event spaces at scale, the property is set to become one of the most versatile hospitality destinations in Eastern India.

The property aims to blend modern infrastructure with carefully selected that reflect Assam’s traditions, flavours, and natural heritage. Regional Dining & Immersive Guest Experiences
The hotel continues to strengthen its culinary offerings by showcasing the diversity of Northeast Indian cuisine. Guests can explore traditional specialities and local comfort dishes alongside international options, creating an experience that appeals to both travellers and residents. This culinary focus adds a distinctive layer to the hotel’s positioning as a gateway to the region’s culture.
