Chalet Hotels Limited (CHL) has marked its entry into Rajasthan with the acquisition of a resort asset in Udaipur, reinforcing its strategy to expand into high-growth leisure destinations across India.
Strategic Acquisition Marks Rajasthan Entry
The company has acquired Seasons Hotels Private Limited, the owning entity of Inder Residency Resort & Spa Udaipur, for a total consideration of ₹171 crore.
This transaction represents Chalet Hotels’ first investment in Rajasthan, positioning the company within one of India’s established leisure and wedding destinations. The acquisition aligns with its broader focus on destination-driven markets with long-term growth potential.
Property Overview and Redevelopment Plans
Spread across approximately 8.2 acres, the resort features 144 rooms along with expansive lawns and banqueting facilities. The asset is currently suited for leisure stays, destination weddings, and MICE activities.
Following the acquisition, the property will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and repositioning. During this phase, the resort will remain non-operational, with the company also evaluating opportunities for expansion and the addition of new room inventory to enhance scale and positioning.
