With over 16 years in the hospitality industry, Ayan Halder has built his career across some of India’s most established hotel brands, gaining hands-on exposure to front office management, rooms division, and full-scale hotel operations. His early professional journey included key assignments with Taj Hotels and The Oberoi Group, where he developed a strong grounding in service standards, guest engagement, and operational discipline.
Working across diverse property formats and guest segments, he gained insight into managing high-occupancy environments while maintaining consistency in service delivery—skills that have defined his leadership approach in subsequent roles.
Most Recent Role and Key Achievements
Before joining The LaLiT Great Eastern Kolkata, Halder was associated with Marriott International, where he most recently served as Unit Head – Property Leader in Kochi. In this capacity, he was responsible for end-to-end hotel performance, including revenue optimisation, operational alignment, and guest satisfaction metrics.
Earlier, at Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal, he led the rooms division, where his role involved managing complex operational workflows and enhancing departmental efficiencies.
