Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Expands with Zone Connect Signings in Ayodhya and Ujjain

Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited (ASPHL) has announced the signing of two new hotel management agreements under its Zone Connect by The Park brand in Ayodhya and Ujjain, strengthening its expansion strategy in India’s key pilgrimage destinations. The move aligns with the company’s focus on tapping into the growing demand for organised hospitality infrastructure in culturally significant cities.

Strategic Expansion into Pilgrimage Markets

The dual signing marks a targeted step by ASPHL to build a stronger presence across India’s religious tourism circuit. With increasing domestic travel to spiritual destinations, the company is positioning its Zone Connect by The Park portfolio to offer contemporary stays that blend comfort with local relevance.

Zone Connect by The Park, Ayodhya

The upcoming Zone Connect by The Park, Ayodhya will feature 56 rooms and is strategically located near the Ram Janmabhoomi site and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.

The hotel’s facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop dining venue, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre. A banquet space is also planned, catering to social events and gatherings, reflecting the city’s growing demand for integrated hospitality offerings.

Zone Connect by The Park, Ujjain

In Ujjain, the brand will introduce a 64-room property positioned to serve both leisure and pilgrimage travellers. The hotel will offer proximity to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, along with access to key transport hubs including the railway station and airport.

The property will include an all-day dining restaurant, swimming pool, and wellness facilities, designed to meet the expectations of modern travellers visiting the city.

Leadership Perspective

Vikas Ahluwalia, AVP & National Head – Zone by The Park Hotels, noted that the signings represent a focused push into high-potential spiritual destinations. He highlighted that rising demand for quality accommodation in these markets is shaping the brand’s expansion, with an emphasis on delivering contemporary experiences aligned with local culture.

Ownership Partnerships

For the Ayodhya project, Vivek Jaiswal of M/s Hotel Saroj Sons expressed confidence in partnering with ASPHL, citing the group’s operational capabilities and brand positioning as key strengths.

In Ujjain, Jyoti Saran Agarwal of Shubh Aagman Hotels LLP emphasised a shared vision of developing quality hospitality infrastructure, aimed at enhancing the overall visitor experience in the city.

Strengthening Brand Presence in Cultural Destinations

With these additions, ASPHL continues to expand its Zone by The Park portfolio, focusing on high-growth micro-markets driven by religious tourism. The expansion underlines the group’s strategy of entering emerging destinations with scalable, design-led hospitality formats.

This development signals ASPHL’s continued commitment to strengthening its footprint across India’s evolving travel landscape, particularly in destinations witnessing sustained pilgrimage-driven demand.
