Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Marks Entry into Kerala with Curated Boutique Portfolio

Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited has expanded its luxury hospitality footprint by bringing three boutique-led experiences in Kerala into its curated portfolio, THE Park Collection. The move establishes the group’s first operational presence in the state, reinforcing its focus on destination-driven leisure markets.

Career Background

The Kerala expansion is anchored by The Malabar House, Purity, and Discovery, each offering a distinct interpretation of luxury rooted in heritage, wellness, and immersive travel.

Heritage address in Fort Kochi

Located in the historic precinct of Fort Kochi, The Malabar House is a heritage boutique hotel with architectural roots dating back to the 18th century. Now operating as an intimate 17-key luxury property, the hotel blends restored historical elements with contemporary interiors. Its affiliation with Relais & Châteaux places it among globally recognised heritage hospitality destinations, appealing to culturally inclined domestic and international travellers.

Backwater luxury and slow travel experiences

Key Achievements

Complementing the Fort Kochi property is Purity, a lakefront retreat set along the backwaters of Alappuzha. Designed around understated elegance, the property places strong emphasis on sustainability, wellness-oriented stays, and carefully curated culinary offerings.

Enhancing this experience is Discovery, a premium houseboat that allows guests to explore Kerala’s backwater landscape through slower, more immersive journeys, aligning with the growing preference for experiential leisure travel.

Strategic leisure-led growth

Current Role & Responsibilities

According to the company’s leadership, the Kerala properties reflect a deliberate expansion strategy focused on highly differentiated assets with long-term value potential. Kerala’s steady leisure demand and its appeal across domestic and international segments position these properties as strong contributors to the group’s luxury portfolio.

The additions in Kerala now sit alongside other prominent assets within THE Park Collection, including heritage and palace hotels in North India and Tamil Nadu, as well as the group’s recently strengthened presence in Mumbai. Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels continues to pursue disciplined growth, prioritising strategic fit, sustainable returns, and experience-led hospitality as it scales its luxury footprint.
