Aman Expands US Portfolio with Amansanu, Its First Ranch-Inspired Retreat in Texas Hill Country

Introduction

Aman Group has announced the launch of Amansanu, marking its sixth property in the United States and introducing the brand’s first ranch-inspired destination in Texas Hill Country.

New Destination in Texas Hill Country

Located northwest of Austin, Amansanu is set within a landscape of rolling hills, limestone cliffs, and natural creeks. The project reflects Aman’s continued focus on destinations defined by natural beauty, offering a setting that combines accessibility with a sense of seclusion.

The development introduces a new typology for the brand, blending its established design philosophy with a ranch-style experience rooted in the region’s terrain and culture.

Resort and Branded Residences Offering

The destination will comprise a collection of standalone pavilions alongside a limited number of fully serviced Aman-branded residences. Designed to maximise privacy and views, the layout integrates architecture with the surrounding topography, offering expansive vistas across valleys and canyons.

The residences, set on large hillside plots, will feature open-plan living spaces and outdoor terraces aligned with Aman’s approach to indoor-outdoor connectivity.

Design Approach by Olson Kundig

The project is being designed by Olson Kundig, with a focus on creating structures that respond to the contours of the land. The architectural approach draws from regional influences while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic, ensuring harmony between built spaces and the natural environment.

Amenities and Ranch-Led Experiences

Amansanu will include a Main Lodge, multiple dining venues, and an Aman Spa and Wellness Centre positioned along a natural creek. Additional facilities will feature racquet sports courts and extensive hiking trails.

A defining element of the project is the introduction of Aman’s first fully serviced stables, offering a ranch-inspired experience that expands the brand’s experiential portfolio in the region.

Strengthening Aman’s US and Americas Presence

According to Vlad Doronin, the development represents an evolution of Aman’s presence in the United States, complementing existing destinations such as Amangiri, Amangani, and Aman New York.

Amansanu also forms part of a broader pipeline across the Americas, including upcoming projects in Mexico, Miami, Beverly Hills, and The Bahamas, reinforcing the brand’s expansion strategy in key luxury markets.

Conclusion

With Amansanu, Aman is introducing a new expression of its hospitality model, combining ranch-inspired experiences with its established focus on privacy, design, and connection to place. The project strengthens the brand’s positioning in the United States while contributing to its growing portfolio of experiential luxury destinations.
