Alila Fort Bishangarh Names Amit Kumar Verma as Chief Engineer

Alila Fort Bishangarh has appointed Amit Kumar Verma as its new Chief Engineer, strengthening the leadership team at the 236-year-old heritage fortress hotel near Jaipur.

In his new role, Verma will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations at the property, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency, advancing sustainability initiatives, and ensuring long-term infrastructure reliability.

Over 15 Years of Technical and Hospitality Expertise

Verma brings more than 15 years of experience in hospitality engineering and technical operations. A graduate of Punjab Technical University and originally from Chandigarh, he has built a diverse career across leading hospitality and commercial organisations.

Prior to joining Alila Fort Bishangarh, he was associated with Hyatt Place Bharuch. His professional journey also includes roles with ITC, Club Mahindra, Deltron, The Lalit, Radisson, and Phoenix United, where he led engineering teams, preventive maintenance programmes, and technical project execution across multiple properties.

Supporting Heritage Operations with Modern Systems

At Alila Fort Bishangarh, Verma is expected to align engineering operations with the brand’s design-led and nature-connected philosophy under Hyatt Hotels Corporation. His approach emphasises safety, system reliability, structured maintenance planning, and continuous improvement—critical elements in managing a historic property of this scale and legacy.

His appointment reflects the hotel’s commitment to maintaining high operational standards while preserving the architectural and cultural integrity of the landmark fortress.
